According to the recent survey of The National Council for the Training of Journalists, freelance journalists in the UK on average earn around £23,000 a year from journalism. Furthermore, Labour Force Survey shows a significant increase in the number of freelance journalists in the UK, who now make 40% of all employed in journalism, compared to 28% of the journalism workforce in 2015.
